In Ohio and the east, you get stations on 110/119/129 with 129 being the one with the most HD stations.
Not ALL of the East. That's why Dish has Eastern satellites located at 61.5, 72.7 and 77. Local Network programming can come from 61.5 only and 129 can be too low or blocked by trees to be usable.
Out of the over 200 DISH markets (i.e, cities) just 5 cities broadcast their local stations solely over one of the Eastern Arc (61.5, 72, or 77) sats. Those cities are
- Columbus, GA
- Lake Charles, LA
- Springfield, MA
- Providence, RI
- Bluefield, WV
Most DISH local stations are broadcast on either the Western Arc (110, 119, or 129) or on both Eastern and Western Arc sats.
Nevertheless, if you travel all over the country, it's probably a good idea to travel with a dish or dishes that allow you to pick up both Western & Eastern Arcs. As Bill said above, there are those trees that can block sat access.
