At least I'm a persistent old guy.
After another attempt at locating 110/119 I called the Company that updater my DISH NETWORK system (VIP612DVR). I was told that DN had me assigned to the Eastern Arc and I shouldn't be able to get 110/119.
Not sure that I buy this though. It seems that i have a 1000.4 system, whatever that means and a 1000.2 is required for 110/119. Not sure that I believe this either because I know that when I first tried I got 110 but was never able to get it again. They offered the reason was that the 1000.4 needed time to acquire a signal before the tone was heard. I believe this. I was also told that I would need a new model dish to replace the Dish 500 that is on the RV now and I would need a professional $800.00 meter to set it. Don't know what to believe. :) It seems that my new receiver takes longer to recognize a satellite signal and with time i could find a Satellite.
What I do believe is that some of you can tell me what I need.
Keep in mind that the receiver I have must be used (VIP612DVR). I also don't need HD.
Will my Dish 500 ant. work or do I need this one or another?
