Finally got satellite 110 and that has my locals and a lot of the channels we normally watch. I had to make a new Favorites list and named it NoHD and put all the non HD stations on it.
What didn't work was the separator. I had to remove it and run two cables from my LNB to the back of the receiver. Now on my LNB (And this is strange) one side is marked 119W and the other is marked 110W.
When I had Dish 500 and this same type LNB my receiver was hooked to one side and the wife's receiver was hooked to the other with separate cables dedicated to each. We both received channels from 110 and 119.
It seems funny that when I had the two cables hooked to the RV today I couldn't get 119.
When I had a good signal on 110 I locked the dish so it wouldn't move and shut down and reinstalled the Separator and did a switch test and couldn't receive but a very few channels and NO Local channels.
BTW when I did the switch test without the Separator it did 2 of 2 on both Satellites but when with the Separator the first Satellite did 2 of 2 but the second Satellite did 38 of 38. ???????????????
QUESTIONS---Will a different LNB help me get 110 plus 119?
Remember that my receiver is a VIP612DVR.
How hard would it be to align with the Eastern Arc while in a Campground with a cheap ($30+) signal meter if I opted for the same type receive I have on my Chimney?
Any other observations or information will be appreciated.
I apologize for the long post.
