Give your home locals a try first, before contacting Dish. Depending on which market area you live in, the spot beam may cover where you are on the coast. The Raleigh area for instance, uses both eastern and western arc spots that easily cover the entire NC coastal region. The Charlotte spot beams on the other hand, are split. The eastern arc beam has lousy coverage on the coast, but the western arc beam covers the coast completely. There's no harm done if they don't come in.
