Maybe I have it backwards though? Perhaps just let them do an install, then just buy the antenna and take the box with me when we travel. Although the antenna I like will not work with the Hopper, which is what they want to install. I see a second choice, I can also add a box, that I purchase, for a few dollars a month to the account. This seems a waste, since no one is at home when we are on the road.
Yes, what you said in bold above -- home install then take receiver with you on the road.
Note that as a new household customer you will have a 2-year contract -- not Pay As You Go.
