Dish Tailgater Problem

I initially had problems with my tailgater/vip211k combination. Some times it would work, sometimes it wouldn't. I called dish every time that I set it up. I was ready to dump it because after 1 year of talking to Dish and struggling to get it to work, they told me that I had to replace the vip211k and that I had to pay for it. That upset me as they wanted to charge me $100 and only give me a 90 day warranty. So I bought the same unit from amazon.com and bought a two year extended warranty for the receiver. Now, it works about 80% of the time. The other 20% has to do with too many trees in campgrounds and unable to get a signal. So while I am not overly happy with my tailgater, when it works, it works and it beats having no TV.
