thanks for the info appreciate it, does the booster need to be off?
For best picture, The booster can do whatever you want with it... Seriously
VIP -211K has, as I recall, HDMI, A/V and Coax outputs. for this one you play some serious re-wire games and turn the booster OFF to watch sat tv..
Vip-211Z does not have coax out,,,, now:
Winegard says to rewire the RV as follows.
Remove CABLE lead (usually the 2nd lead as you look at the rear of the panel with 12 volt outlet at the top) Extend it to the LNB in and replace it (on the wall plate) with the TV-Out from the sat receiver.
In yoru case.. Run HDMI via an HDMI splitter to both TV's if possible
Run a brand new RG-6 lead to the LNB IN. on teh VIP -211 (Does not matter if Z or K) and leave the original cables as they were.
You now leave the booster on, AIM the batwing (With wingman) using antenna helper free to help so you get some nice TIER TWO networks like Antenna T, MY TV, ME TV or THIS TV, and RETRO TV, networks that run all the shows from when TV was good and not stupid like "Survivor" the false advertised father of "Reality" (Nothing at all real about them) Shows.
AND on the TV you scan and type in like 7-2 You get a tier two station (The second number is the tier)
You switch to HDMI input and you got Sat TV.
And that.. is very close to how I do it here.
