Dish Tailgater

I recently purchased a Tailgater from a friend. Did not get the owners manual with it. Does anyone know what the maximum length of coax that can be used? Thanks in advance.
  • Thanks for the responses and for the link. For whatever reason I could not find it. All I found was the later model tailgater manual.

Here's a link to the tailgater users guide:

  • Yep, camping in the wood is heck sometimes. I've forgotten where I put the dish and had to follow the coax to find it. 150' is no problem.
  • The better the quality of your coax the longer you can run. Each connector also creates a bit of loss so 1 150' cable will perform much better than 3 50' cables connected together.
You do need a Dish Network 211 or 411 series receiver to make the Tailgater work.
  • 250 feet
I have the original 50 foot cable + 15 feet if interior cable + 185 feet that I purchased for those times where additional cable is needed. Put it all together and no problem with reception.
  • I have 50' that came with it but have heard of people using 100' of coax.....
