HI, We are planning to move one of our extra house dish receivers into our RV. We have a portable sat dish and cable.
Is this going to work? We only plan to travel around Florida so I"m not worried about the local channels.
Thanks

Simple answer. Yes. No real additional information necessary if you have the proper antenna. If you have a Hopper you need an open face antenna with some additional hardware. If you have and older Dish receiver most any open face antenna will work. If you have a 211 receiver you can use a number Dish only portable automatic antennas like the Tailgater or Pathway. Some of the other Dish receivers will also work with the dome style antennas that work with both Dish and Direct.
As to locals, you will get your home locals no matter where you travel in FL so while you might not get true locals you will still be able to watch your home Networks channels from where ever you are in FL.
