Dish TV. Can I just move our house receiver to the RV?

HI, We are planning to move one of our extra house dish receivers into our RV. We have a portable sat dish and cable. Is this going to work? We only plan to travel around Florida so I"m not worr...

I'm a long time DirecTV customer and going back to full timing soon. I tried to bring my home dish once before and it didn't work. I think they told me I need a different dish? Does doing that even make sense or is it best just to invest in the expensive "always on" roof bubbles?
