- jmckelvyExplorerYes you can. I do it all the time with my Tailgater. I am not interested in the local channels so don't bother to call Dish.
- Gonzo42ExplorerI move mine between the garage TV and the MH all the time. My only issue is the time it takes to align the dish, and other than that, no problem.
I have a tripod and have modified it for fine tuning of azimuth and elevation. - MarkTwainExplorer

HI, We are planning to move one of our extra house dish receivers into our RV. We have a portable sat dish and cable.
Is this going to work? We only plan to travel around Florida so I"m not worried about the local channels.
Thanks

If you are leasing your 2nd receiver to put into your RV, you don't have the option of disabling the RV receiver when you are not RVing and your RV is into storage. I just bought my RV receiver so I can save some money by having the option of disabling. The money saved will pay for the RV receiver. - MarkTwainExplorer

You need to tell them your physical location to connect you to their local channels. - donn0128Explorer IIYes. You only need to tell them if you want local channels
- restlesswindExplorerI did just that when we had Dish TV. I still do it with DirecTV. I just had to learn how to set up the portable dish.
