- 1492ModeratorNET10 uses both Verizon and Sprint on CDMA phones. AT&T and T-Mobile on GSM. The LG236C is the new updated version of the LG235C.
- MrWizardModeratorSprint is also CDMA
a quick look a Howard Forums,
and the NEt10 sub forum,
it looks like Net10 is GSM on AT&T
Net10 Tracfone on HoFo - mikeleblanc413ExplorerTo follow up...1492 mention LG235C...when I typed in my zip code the reply was that it would not work in my zip code. I did get a LG236C...which I'm assuming is very similiar...the phone was $29.99...I order overnight delivery for $14.95...from ordering at 11 am one day until noon the next...I had my phone in my hand...by 5 pm it was charged and I was set up. The set up took some time and at times was stressfull. However, I love the phone...THANK YOU so much for your help!
- mikeleblanc413ExplorerThat's a BIG OOPS 1492!
- 1492ModeratorDid you read my post? It has a G in the model no, so a GSM phone on AT&T.
- mikeleblanc413ExplorerFound this phone at Net 10: Samsung T404G. How would I find out what network tower it works off of?
- Clay_LExplorerWe use Verizon and have Samsung Convoy phones. They do have a camera but other than that are just phones.
They are water resistant and meet mil specs for shock. The battery lasts up to two weeks or more while turned on 24/7. Will be less if you do a lot of talking though. They have replaceable peel off clear plastic shields on the display areas.
I don't know if other cell service providers offer them or not. - tvman44ExplorerIt depends on your home location and the phone you choose. My Net-10 phone is on T-Mobile. I am happy with them, I get better service at home than I did with AT&T and it is cheaper. :)
- trb46ExplorerI have an LG 900 with Net 10 that I use as a spare phone in my truck; I have a bad habit of leaving home without my regular cellphone. I called Net 10 and they told me that my phone was on AT&T. I buy the $30/60 day/300 minute card. All minutes roll over; I have over 7000 unused minutes on it. As I said, it's only a spare, but worth $15/ month to me not to worry about being without a phone if I need one.
- 1492ModeratorThey should. Their parent company is America Movil, who also owns TracFone, Straight Talk, and PagePlusCellular.
These phones should be CDMA, the LG 235C and Samsung R455C which would work on Verizon. Generally, if the model number has a C at the end, it's a CDMA phone. A G would indicate GSM, such as for AT&T.
Another option is PagePlusCellular which only uses the Verizon Network. You can pretty much use any Verizon phone except new prepaid phones, or 4G Smartphones which require custom ROM to be recognized as 3G.
