first off those recommended format and re-install that is not needed. What they the scammers did was enable a security account if it is windows xp reboot the computer hit the f8 key before windows loads then select safe mode and choose administrator, if they locked that account you'll need to download the hirens cd from the link posted earlier and choose offline password for xp/vista/windows 7 but if you don't how to use the hiren cd tools I would strongly advise takeing it to your local repair shop. We see this problem daily
