Before you uninstall anything, I suggest you install "Astro" file manager
You can backup your current apps to "apk" files, ( android installer files)
You can then delete as many as you want
Backing up the current working versions, ensures that you have the ability to restore a working app file it's also a lot easier and faster to transfer to a new android phone or tablet
There is the rare paid for app, that Will have to be, re_down loaded from Google play, but most free apps can be backed up to apk
The saved apps will be in a folder called backup
And of you need space you can copy the folder to the micro SDcard or the pc
Then delete from the phones internal memory
In some cases you can specify where to save the backup folder
Using the SD card, will save internal memory
