DTV HD to SWM system
After years of using my slimline on a tripod, I now have the need to change over to a SWM setup. Can I add a power injector and change the lmb and redo setup? or do I need to do more. thanks.

- Why not just buy a SWM dish?

- If you have an oval dish the answer is yes. You will need the power supply, splitter, one and feed arm from what I understand. In the end you might be cheaper to simply buy a complete dish setup from a directive installers one of the online retailers.
- You should not have any problem simply changing the LNB to the SWM3 LNB. Run one cable inside the coach to the power inserter and from the PI to the receiver. If you need to run more than one receiver you run the one coax from the LNB to a splitter and then multiple cables from outside the coach or run one cable inside and use the SWM splitter from inside.
- DTV now has a Wireless Video Bridge (this is NOT WiFi) for the Genie (HR34/HR44) and NO coax cable is needed for remote TVs with the C41W remote Genie. Same prices as the coax connected C41.
This might be an appealing setup for RVers that want remote TVs and have or convert to SWM. - Plenty of LNBs and power inserter packages on eBay pretty cheap. Takes hardly anything to convert and you will love the one cable setup for DVR set up.

it most certainly uses WIFI, might not be yours but it creates one for itself, which could interfere with yours

Clicky- While I know that it's possible to do the wireless setup, my understanding is that it is not working as they need to keep a happy customer so all installs are still currently be done with a coax running to each receiver.
- Bill, That's good input. What else has problems on the HR44? I've read that some are having WiFi problems which are solved with a Cat5 cable.
