Timmac may be absolutely right. Directv (now ATT) is a nightmare to deal with. No wonder they're losing customers. The whole debacle started when my GF misplaced one of my HD receivers. 6 months...

You should be able to view your recording sans antenna, after rebooting from no power.

Now about continuous inverter 120V for the receiver. Will the HR44 still allow viewing recorded shows after the RV is down with the dish down? ie It's detected no sat but recordings OK. Or recordings with a overlayed error?
