I'm looking for an App that uses (preferably) Google Maps that can show me the elevation of a particular route or highway.I would like to know in advance what route would have the least amount of climb.The App is for Android mobile devices not desktop, I believe there is something for the desktop version.Thanks in advance.Ron W.On edit, I do have the truckers book that shows tunel heights, major slope changes etc. But an App would be best.

Have you tried google earth for android. I have not just know it exists.

I'm not sure if the android app will do it but regular PC based Google Earth will show you the elevation of a route.Just right click on the route and it will offer an elevation profile. I wouldn't trust it for survey purposes but good enough to get an idea of the graedes and elevation.
