Extra Dish Network vip222k receiver for trailer

When we travel I take my vip222k receiver with me and use it with a portable antenna. I'm tired of unhooking it and rehooking it up in the rv. Can I purchase a vip222k receiver and leave it in the rv ...

When I moved receivers I used quality push on cables that made it somewhat easier but it was still a pain and I forgot the remote a couple times. Finally gave up and just paid the 7 bucks a month.
