After several years 5-6 of using Firefox I had to recently start using another browser when we attracted a Trojan on two of our Windows compeers. I spent money to buy three spyware / anti-virus programs and none of the could get it out. Removed and re-installed FF. Used internet for solutions. finally gave up. Use Chrome on my 3 windows laptops and Safari on my Mac Book Pro.
I check to box in both Chrome and Safari to request do not track. Still have problems. I can always tell when I look at something to buy on the web and an hour later other sites start showing me ads for similar products. At that point I remove all the cookies and history.
