Anyone know if the new Android version 4.4, I believe, is compatible with FoxFi? My Verizon Motorola phone just got a software update today - I'm holding off on the install on the phone since the last time we all went thru this it eliminated our use of FoxFi, which is presently my only usable Internet connection..., until they came out with the password word-around. Kinda surprised I haven't seen any discussion about this on the Forum! I believe PDA+net is saying no more wireless, only bluetooth and USB for Verizon. Got any work-arounds to connect a Kindle Fire tablet since it uses WiFi??? Thanks, guru's!!! ST
Not exactly a work-around, but you can buy a Verizon 4G "JetPack" (also known as a MiFi) off ebay/craigs and put your SIM card into it. There is anecdotal evidence out there that you can switch back and forth as needed.
I am still on Jellybeans 4.3 on my Verizon phone, and the update is pestering me - vzw wants to take my wifi tether away. :(
