Galaxy S3 Lock Screen
I have tried everything I know to rid my phone of the numerical lock screen. This started with the last two software upgrades.

- Ok, got it. Thank you. I put it back on swipe lock. I think my son should do that also. I get what he calls a "butt call" every now and then from him. He must have his screen unlocked. :B
Barney - Screen locked.....no more pocket calls
- This is a private phone so no lock required. I would be happy with the swipe lock if I could ever get there.

If your phone is in a zipped pocket no problem. At work on your desk fellow employees may help themselves. In a crowd with pick pockets? Set the phone down and accidentally walk away? There is more info on your phone then you think there is. Enough to start identity theft at a minimum. When I'm going to be away from my phone I activate the fingerprint reader.
I have two friends with smartphones that are used for work. They are required to use Pin lock. There is a chance customer records could be leaked.- Probably a dumb question, but wat is the purpose of the screen lock?

- Downtheroad: I do that and when I tap I get another screen asking to confirm PIN
1492: I am seeing the screen on the left. Then when I tap "screen lock" I get another screen asking to confirm PIN and nothing else. Confirming the PIN then gets me to screen on the right and all is shaded out except for the "PIN" and "Password" and I can't select any of them 
Are you seeing these screens in your Samsung Galaxy III?- Are you using FoxFi hot spot? It put a lock screen on my S5. I had to kill the app to get rid of it.

You are almost there... TAP where it says "screen lock secured with a pin" and this will open another menu where you can select 'none.'
