iPad Lock Screen
Hello, all. I'd like to prevent my screen from turning whenever I re-orient my iPad Air. In general settings I checked "use side switch to: lock rotation". Those two side switches only control volume. Any ideas? Thank you.

- I think what caused the confusion was that the instructions on the screen said "SIDE switch" instead of SLIDE switch.I would have been looking for a pusbutton, similar to the volume control buttons instead of a switch that slides.
- You folks were right on! I didn't know that switch was there. It's
ok now. Thanks to everyone. - 8.01 added a quick settings panel. You just scroll up from the bottom and a half screen shows up with buttons for Bluetooth, Screen lock, airplane mode a flashlight, etc.
No need to go into settings.
CLICKY - In the general settings you check if you want the slide switch above the volume switches to either mute or lock rotation
- On my iPad mini there is a slide switch just above the volume buttons, as does my wife's iPad air. Yours should have one also. IT's that switch they are referring to.
- You should be able to lock rotation in setup.
