- GordonThreeExplorerOne is just the camera, the other includes the wireless transmitter?
- LantleyNomadI have the BC -20 it works well. The BC 30 is the newer version. For a better signal an extension cable maybe required.(sold separately 30.00 or so) I needed the extension cable for use with my 40 foot 5'er.

The BC 30 backup camera unlike the BC 20 can be paired with many more compatible GPS and not just limited to the dezl and RV line of Garmin GPS. The BC 30 can be connected to constant power and not just back up lights so you can now view what is behind you, simply by toggling between camera and navigation modes. When the BC 30 is paired with a compatible GPS navigator this wireless backup camera can easily spot vehicles, pedestrians, and other objects when backing up, or if wired to constant power toggle between navigation and camera to be viewed on the screen. The wireless range of the BC 30 is up to 45 feet between camera and GPS which is a good sized motor home or truck. - Chuck_thehammerExplorerI have the BC-30 with extension cable.
F 250 SC long bed and a 30 travel trailer.. had signal issues.. without extension.. poor refresh and intermittent dropouts..
100 percent after...
works well on 2597 and 770LMTHD.
I installed the transmitter under the propane tank cover. - LantleyNomad

I basically did something similar with my BC 20 and 760LMT transmitter is installed under overhang of 5'er' Without extension cable signal was intermittent. Now it is 100 per cent reliable - countrykidsExplorerThanks, this helps a lot. Our rv is a 26 foot class c so I'm thinking I may not need the transmitter extension cable or would it be worth it for better signal?
Also, I assume unit power connector is at the camera and not the transmitter. Correct? - LantleyNomad

The power connector is at the transmitter. The extension cable allows you to install the transmitter closer to the cab of the truck.
With a 26' Class C. I think I would try it without extension cable first. - Chuck_thehammerExploreras with any radio... transmitter and receiver...
avoid anything BETWEEN them that is metal..
I first tried installing the transmitter behind the trailer brake light..
but 3 inner walls and front of trailer.. was the issue.
Try without first. as I did.
but I was trying to go 40 feet.
I had my GPS on top of dashboard. so GPS could see thru the rear window of truck.
