Garmin Backup Camera

A couple of months ago I bought an Garmin RV 760 with a wireless BC20 backup camera. I have worked with Garmin to fix the problem, but I cannot get the camera to work. I am wondering if someone else may have had the same problem. I have put power 12v (positive) to the red wire and grounded the black wire. GPS is plugged into power too. All parts are on the same table, so distance is not the problem. I wonder what should have happened if it was working right. Should I see a camera icon without doing anything? I have been told that maybe I have reversed the wires. But do not wanting to try reversing wires, it may damage the camera. Any help will be appreciated.

    ok, make sure you use the "docking station" for the RV760 NOT just plugging the usb plug into the back of the RV760. The "docking station" is what recieves the signal from the backup camera.

    had TT for years, now 1 30 5th. thought of installing backup camera and backup lights.
    my wife and I have camped for over 44 yrs. never really had an issue backing in. do these units really help, and most of time backing in during daylight.

    Is there a procedure in your documentation that explains the steps to match the camera? I seem to recall that there were in the directions I received. But mine are in the MH which is in storage at the moment. I'll be going to check on it one day this week, so if you don't have a solution i will get the installation manual I have.

    Garmin obviously knows the ID number for the devices, so it should be able to preload them without actually hooking them up.

    One quick thought. Do you have the BlueTooth enabled? I'm not sure if the camera needs it but mine is on because I link to my phone.

    When I bought my Garmin RV 760 it came as a kit with the backup camera. I sent it back to Garmin to make sure it was working. They said they matched it and it was working. Funny thing they sent back a new camera that had never been used. How did they match something they didn't use?

    Look at the back of the unit, at the small module where the power cord plugs in. Make sure it says BC20 on it. That has the receiver for the camera. I have a DEZL760 and had t swap out that module when I added the BC20 backup camera. As soon as the camera is powered up, the picture appears on the 760. I can then switch back and forth between camera and GPS.

    OK, Maybe a silly question, but you do have the RV version of the 760? Chuck

    As soon as I powered up the camera, the image appeared on the GPS screen. After that, I am able to toggle back and forth between camera and GPS details.
