The list of fields also have values. These values are updated in real time, so that while you have the list open, you can see all these values. Touch one to go back to the map and see that one.
The map and the route is my main interest and thats what I have up usually. It's very easy to check (or change to) any field you like and shouldn't be a big deal to do as often as you like. I have never had a gps that displayed mile marker info before. Or the ability to check the weather at my destination.
That being said, is it perfect? No. Nothing is perfect. Perfection is an asymptotic point in that it can be approached, but never reached. Like DW's good side. ;) Everyone will have a pet peeve about this gps. Mine is this: although the rv760 IS an EcoRouteHD compatiple unit, that is true in automobile mode only, not RV mode. I guess I feel about real time milage the way you do about elevation in that I would like to watch it. Maybe there's a work around for it that I haven't found yet. Time will tell.
But I can tell you this, I won't be getting rid of this anytime soon.
