Might be trolling but...
Don't kid yourself. Desktops are not dying in anyway. There are things that can not be done on a tablet or smartphone or are more difficult to do so. I am currently on a desktop even though i have both an Iphone and Ipad. For some set of the population all they might need is a smartphone but it is far from dying.
Oh, and I'm going to be that guy and say it's "dying" not dieing.
