Good Sam Camping/Woodall's App Available for Android & Apple

I echo Barney's comment. When is an Android version coming out? We do travel with a laptop and have the Woodalls and MS Streets and Trips installed on it. But using our smart phones would be convenient.

Does this app include locations in Canada?

I've had it for a couple of months and I do like it and use it. For some of the reasons mentioned above there are a few other Campsite apps I use more. At this point yours is only a backup.

I agree, very good for version 1. I like it, but I'd like it even better if you crowd-sourced it a bit by allowing folks to add parks they know about that you don't mention, as well as correct errors discovered by going there.

Ok Woodall’s, not bad for your first knock on the door. But there are a few things missing.
When I add a campground to my favorites I would like to add a note about that campground ….e.g. favourite site # , who were the camp hosts , where are the dump stations, if there is an email address or phone # change that I can edit it etc. etc.

Another nice feature in favorites would be that you can add your own photo of your favorite campground.



A dump station search would be nice too.

In filters it would be nice if us Canadians could change miles to kilometres

In the “show only parks that are”
I think it should state “show only parks with”

-big rig parking
- pets allowed
-off leash area
-dump stations
-wifi
-store
-children’s play area
-swimming
-laundry
-
-
-etc. etc.

In my mind, the more options the better.

If you would add a few of these features I would easily pay 0.99 or $1.99 for this app.

Again not a bad app and I will use it ,but I can tell with out extra hands on features I will get bored of it, kinda like the other camping apps.

This is a very usefull application and I am glad you posted the info here. I did download it already. One thought I have is that it would be great if you included a link to a server where users could post pictures from the parks they visit and they would be available when you are looking at the park view. This would be especially good if you could just IM the picture or email it along with the park name and it would then be available to anyone looking at that park.

Thanks for your feedback. I enjoyed reading your suggestions in the email you sent. There are 12,000 Campgrounds & RV Parks included today. It's the same as the 2011 print directory. As always, if you visit a campground we don't list, you can email it to info@woodallpub.com and we'll visit it as we go by. Sometimes the park doesn't meet our minimum criteria - it could be that they don't have enough overnight sites year round to qualify for a listing. Or it could be that when we visited years ago they weren't in good shape and perhaps they've improved but we haven't been back. I down loaded it this past weekend. So far, it's better than the other campground aps I have. There are some campgrounds missing and I don't know if they can be added. I'll email you per your request.
I love the rating system you've included, though.
