gps mounting bracket

I am getting a Garmin 760RVLMT and was looking for a mounting bracket for the M/H. Any info on what is the best for on top of the dash? I don't want to mount it permanently but do want it secure. What have all my friends on here found to work the best for you.
Thanks

  • I have never had a suction cup stay stuck in a MH.

The day it flew off the window and hit the floor on the motorhome with the GPS rolling on the floor and her saying over and over and over again "turn around when possible"....is when I quit trying to do the windshield mount. :B

I use the donut friction mount. Sticks like glue where ever you put it and what is REAL slick....is you just unplug it and grab the donut and you can take it with you and put it in your toad, other vehicle or a friend your going with that doesn't have one. No fuss.
  • I have these portable friction mounts for home and work. Doesn't matter what vehicle I use them in, they always stay where I put them. And no fuss with suction cups, etc.

    portable friction mount
  • I use the suction mount that came with my 760RVLMT and attach it in the upper left corner of the windshield in our Class C. Out of the sight line for driving but within easy reach and vision. No issues yet (including a two month trip) with the suction mount falling off the windshield.
  • I took a board and cut it 6"x8" and then took the suction cup mount and used 2 small screws to hold it down screwing on the edge with a washer and set it on an piece of non slip cupboard liner and set it on the dash and move to where ever work for us to see. I have a Rand McNally 7725 gps.
