Just got another Verizon agent on the phone who told me I did still have 15 Gb of 4g on each of the other two phones.
This sounds similar to the plan we picked up this spring.
- 15gig of hotspot data (ie: you use the Verizon Hot Spot App) per phone (we switch phones part way thru the month)
- After that is throttles the speed back to 3G.
- 22gig (any use totaled) and then it MIGHT throttle you back to 3G. If the tower isn't congested, they give you full 4G but if busy, you get dropped back to 3G.
As others have said, 19gig isn't' out of line if you were streaming high quality video...but as mentioned there are some options:
- If not critical...say watching a cooking show...choose lower video quality.
- Stream/cast direct from the phone: you play the video on the phone but mirror the phone screen on the TV. Since it's not using the hotspot app, it doesn't count toward the 15gig limit. It does count toward the 22gig limit but if you aren't in busy areas you can go well over that and still have 4G most of the time.
It's not cheap but it really does make internet at decent speed viable while traveling.
