Exactly what are you expecting them to say? Are you looking for them to compensate you in some way? What you've stated so far doesn't make sense here. Sometimes things happen and products get into customers hands. There was no negligence on CW's part. You took the initiative and got it fixed, did it your own way, didn't include the selling dealer in the process, so????
