How to get rid of Bing

Another way is:
1. In IE, go to "tools"
2. Select "internet options"
3. Go to the "programs" tab
4. Select "Manage Add-ons"
5. Select "Search Providers"
6. Highlight "Bing"
7. Select "remove"

We use Firefox.

To get rid of Bing as your search engine, do the following:

1. Go to the page you'd like to use by typing it's address in the address bar. For example, google.com.
2. Click on "tools"
3. Click on "Internet Options"
4. On the general tab, click on "use current"
5. Click on "apply"
6. Click on "ok"

If you want to get rid of the Bing tool bar, do the following:
1. Click on "tools"
2. Click on "toolbars"
3. Uncheck Bing Bar.

These instructions are for later versions of Internet Explorer (IE). Let me know if you have another browser or an older version of IE.

Both the new Internet Explorer and Firefox will allow you to change the default search engine to one other than Bing. There will be a menu that will drop down from the (most likely) left corner of the search box at the top of the browser to change the default search engine.

What are you attempting to get rid of. Is it your default search engine and you want to change it, is it a tool bar in your browser, or like stated above your homepage?

Bing is a web page (Not a program/app). Go to another web page and make it your home page. How you do this is determined by what browser you're using...
