You can do a simple removal of one of the Windows Updates and you'll get rid of the notification of Windows 10. No need to run an outside program. I've deleted the update and have seen neither hide nor hair of the insistence to upgrade to Windows 10. I'm running W7 and intend to do so for a while yet.
