How to utilize 60 antivirus vendors at once
This is a bit complicated, but if you can pull it off, it's really nice, and it's easy in execution. Not every antivirus catches everything, so the idea is to submit your running processes to Virustotal, which aggregates all the known virus'es and reports right back to you immediately if any of the malware processes are found on your machine. It only finds virus that are running, which is the vast majority of them. Once you submit your processes, if it's a virus it will turn the process from blue to red. Look under the Virustotal column and you will see 5/65 in blue, but if infected it will turn to 5/65 to red color. If red, it will tell you which company's antivirus will remove it. It's normal to have 1 or 2 red processes which often are false alarms, but if you have 5 or 6 then you probably have an issue. If red, you can r click and kill or suspend the process.
Sysinternals was a private company bought by Microsoft. This is a Microsoft utility endorsed for use by anyone on a PC not a Mac.
Virustotal is owned by Google and most of the major antivirus company's submit all their discovered malware to them so there is a central repository for this information.
Start by going to Sysinternals.com You will get redirected to a Microsoft page and on the left side click on Process Utilities. Once there, click on and download Process explorer, which is the program you want. Once downloaded, drag it to the desktop for convenience. Click on the program to run it. What you will see is a list of all processes running on your machine. The processes should all be in blue in the 3/65 column. Now take your cursor and click on the options tab(upper left), slide down to Virustotal, then slide right and click on check Virustotal. Then you will see "hash submitted" along side every process. In a few moments, if any are bad or suspect it will turn red in the 0/00 column. It's really a beautiful utility program. I'm not the best geek perhaps some better geeks here can do it more clearly than me. Good luck with it.
