I tunes

HI,

I have an I phone 5 and a PC using Windows 7. I tried to sync both to load music files to the phone but the phone hangs up. The message I get is: "downloading safe Safari data". It is at this point that the process seems to stop, I can leave it all running for hours with no progress. Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?

    I've had mine do that from time to time. (5S/Win 8.1) Usually I just cancel and retry and it clears things up.

    I hate giving out this bit of advise so beware. (my disclaimer)

    Sometimes the backup file on your PC gets corrupted and has to be deleted.

    From iTunes go to Edit > Preference > Device
    Your iPhone should be listed.
    Highlight it and click delete backup.
    Now hook up and start all over again, it will do a complete backup.

    This is always a last resort solution.

    Thanks, I have tried the restart but it has not worked. I will have to try the delete of the PC back up file.
