If You Had To Buy A Tablet ?
If you had to buy a tablet, other than Apple, for less than $300, what would you buy? Use would be for book reading, watching saved movies, playing solitaire type games, internet and email. Thanx

You want this. The fact that Apple screens the apps means that the incidence of malware is essentially zero. You can't and will never be able to say that about Android. In fact, malware has been found in the Google Play store on multiple occasions. Feel free to Google this all you like.
Yes, this imparts restrictions, but at the benefit of not having to seriously wonder if your phone is leaking all it's data to some remote server in China or Russia without your knowledge.
And - just saying - most apps come out for Apple first and Android a distant second - if at all.

And to each his own - which is always a good thing. On the other hand, I've tried Android tablets and found them lacking compared to the iPad. It's all about what works for you.
