Get rid of that old USB adapter and get a hotspot of your own, or make one with a smartphone. MUCH faster and better service.
FYI, you can also get a USB-to-micro USB adapter, which lets you use the charging port as a regular USB.

I did not know they made an adapter for the micro to be used as a regular USB. Looks like I will take another look at those tablets!
Reason I stay with the USB broadband is I have an old USB broadband plan with TRUE
unlimited data, zip zero throttling for a 'really insane' low price per month. Gonna hold on to that stick until it dies or they figure out I am still out there using it!! :B
