iGoogle is going away.

Update: I was able to set up an igHome page that was very similar to my iGoogle page. The process was very slow and for some reason it would not authenticate some of the RSS feeds I use.

This morning the igHome site has posted an apology, saying that they have ordered more servers to handle the increased traffic. We'll see how that works out.

but i have another comics page setup on 'dailyink' , so i will survive

We moved from iGoogle to ProtoPage about a year ago.

I didn't even know iGoogle existed so I guess I won't miss it. I set my home page to just google.com.

Pulse on my iPad works fine for me.
I stopped iGoogle when they announced the discontinuation last year.

I also use ighome and find it to be very similar to igoogle. I have been using it since google sent out their notification earlier this year.

I haven't gotten any spam from them at all and you can set up newsfeeds just like igoogle.

I've been a heavy user of iGoogle for years, setting up a page with gadgets for weather for my usual trip locations and RSS feeds from the local newspapers of those places among many other items. In the year or so since the big announcement, I've sporadically hunted for iGoogle replacements. Your video of your new page is great. It looks like just what I need, so I'll play around with it later today.

Is free, as in ighome, really free? Or has it generated new spam or any such nuisance for you?

I've found a great free replacement for iGoogle. Easy to set up, and looks pretty much like an iGoogle page.
