There is an alternate scenario that may work better if you are looking to use it for security. Some cameras can take a photo or series of photos when they detect movement, you can define where in the field of vision or the threshold for movement, they will then email you the image when they are triggered (a lot like a wildlife camera). This may work in a crappy wifi scenario, as most campgrounds networks may be slow and difficult to use, but if you do not need the email the second it happens and can wait for a few minutes for it to go out you will still get it eventually.
