I have one waiting too, and 26 app updates. Not sure what the problem is with toggling to " off "???? - DavyddExplorerI have an iOS update in waiting. There is a setting to turn off automatic updates. I don't do anything automatically as I like to schedule my time and also check it out before proceeding.
- FlatBrokeExplorer IIMine just sends me a little note telling me ones available. Down load at my discretion.
- MarkTwainExplorerWhat issues have you had with the automatic iOS updates??
They are huge, I don't think Apple even bothers to optimize the size.
It is easy to run up against bandwidth limits, especially when traveling. You can set it up so upgrades only download when you have a WiFi connection, but if your iPad is connected to mobile WiFi hotspot like the Verizon MiFi, you cannot stop the downloads.
I would like to know how to turn these off too but I don't think it is possible.
I use AT&T and have not run into these issues. - rwareExplorer

Just like pulsar said.

This DOES turn off auto ios updates - MarkTwainExplorerApps----
Its my understanding that I can turn off AUTOMATIC UPDATES by setting the preference to MANUAL updates only. I don't think you can just turn off iOS app updates only. Its all or manual only for all apps. Personally I want the iOS updates to keep my computer running effeciently by eliminating prior issues with the iOS system. What issues have you had with the automatic iOS updates?? - gmctoymanExplorerThat turns off App updates, I want to turn off iOS updates. I have clarified my original post.
- ed6713ExplorerSelect "settings" then "iTunes App Store" then toggle off "updates"
Just like pulsar said. - pulsarExplorerI don't have an IOS device, but I have looked at them. If I recall correctly, I think this is what you want.
Setting/iTunes and App Store/Updates
I believe that is a toggle; to the left, automatic downloads is off, to the right automatic downloads is on.
