I totally don't understand. Cloud services have come and gone. What do you do when your cloud service drops your data? It's a pretty convenient thing, but not the be-all and end-all of data storage.
And it's not all that new, they used to do it when computing was in its infancy: all the data was stored on the mainframe, and you just used workstations to access that data. Now you're saying they were ahead of their time, and we should go back to dumb terminals and mainframes, by storing data remotely?
People "get it" they just don't necessarily want it. :)
