This debate is almost as fun as gas vs. diesel.
The cloud is great but it is not a total substitute for an SD card.
Why not have both?
Android lets you have both! I can use cloud storage or I can store things on my 128GB internal SD card.
Privacy does not =encryption.
For as innovative as Apple is not having a simple USB connection or SD card is a step backwards.
To the OP get as much storage as you can afford. Keep in mind cloud storage is an industry.
There are quite a few operations that will gladly charge you to store your data on their servers.
A SD card or external drive will store all your data with no annual/monthly fees.
I see cloud storage as a off site data storage option, however I don't see it as essential for day to day file transfer. But then again I prefer to think for myself when possible and leave all my options open vs. letting an outside party decide what my options should be.
