Bluetooth headphones are one solution. They range in quality and price from under $50 to over $300. Anther option is a BT receiver like this one with her current favorite headphones.
Connect Phone to that device via Blutooth and use the phone's Lightning port to charge. Connect the device above to any of her favorite 3.5mm wired headphones.
