DW has iPhone 4. She placed a call to a friend who has iPhone 5. When the friend answered, a picture of someone, not the DW, appeared on her iPhone 5 as the person calling. How can this be? DW know...

The owner of the phone finally took it to the Verizon store. The first thing they tried was to edit the contact information and delete the picture. Guess what, there was no picture associated with the contact, nor any other contact for that matter. HMMMM. She said that just befuddled them cause they said, as we have said,"it ain't possible". but yet there is was when the DW called her at the store. They then took the phone and hooked it up to some machine and she said they "flashed" the phone and updated the operating system and restored her contacts, etc. and voila.. the pic is no longer there. To verify, she had the DW call again and no pic showed up. Verizon said they had never seen this before and could not really explain it, but all is well now..I guess!
