Good point, since almost every major metro area has at least one station that "stayed" on VHF (actually most switched to UHF, turned off VHF analog, then switched to digital VHF)
Been dealing with this in the Two Way Radio field for ten years. Only so much spectrum and technology improvements have made bandwidth better. This is not the first time the spectrum has been modified or split.
As for one of the previous posters quoting me and suggesting I am making some sort of profit via the Jack antennas you are incorrect.
I am in the Two Way radio field. FCC 1st Class, Certified ET, own a telecommunications company but currently retired. I have installed the antennas on my own vehicles and cannot be more satisfied with their performance.
One can do all the DB measurements you want., The overall performance is excellent and I would never go back to the batwing. Stretching that signal is just not my thing. I use satellite.
The size and weight of the antenna is excellent.
In addition to my credentials, I built command vehicles, 911 centers, undercover vehicles, public safety vehicles of all natures, planes, trains, helicopters, and things I cannot discuss. If they have electronic apparatus, I did them.
