Just how much damage will I do to my speakers or DVD
How bad is it to hook a surround sound receiver that came with 3 ohm speakers to the 6 ohm speakers that are built into my MH?

It won't do any damage, but your audio output will be reduced. Depending on the speakers, fidelity may be effected as well.
