Yup. God Bless America. Only CFL's will be produced starting 2014...........they will be made ONLY in China.
We ban something and the only country that makes the new replacement is China. Not to mention the new eco energy saving bulb is filled with mercury and so now will all our landfills be. :R
This says it all, take the few seconds to watch it all it's very sadly hilarious!
EVERYTHING you need to know about compact florescent bulbs AND how to dispose of these little dangerous bulbs if you drop one per the EPA.

NO NO NO, incandescents aren't going to disappear in 2014. The standard "A19" base incandesents will slowly go away in higher wattage. IIRC 100W's are gone, 75W's next year. Not sure about the 60W timeframe.
And best I can interpret from the reg's, low voltage bulbs (12V) are not part of the phase out.
Three ways, appliance bulbs, and the vast majority of other base styles and specialty bulbs are NOT part of the phase out. Nor are all flavors of flood/spot reflector bases. Least thing to worry about is the RV 12V bulbs.
BTW last year we replace about a dozen CFL flood lights with LED floods. All I can say is the LED floods are way brighter and use less electricity than the CFL's. And last longer. The CFL's in a overhead down can don't last very long, a year at most. In fact the LED's are brighter than the 75W halogen floods they replaced, and only use 12Watts.
I suspect LED's will fairly quickly wipe out the CFL's. Economy of scale for the LED's and advances in color and efficiency will make the CFL and incandesents obsolete even for price in a few years.
