- wb2ivuExplorerwe used a Magic Jack with our apple laptop and the Verizon MiHi . This worked very well, even in the Ozark's, and back hills to Tenn.. In my personal estimation the MJ is worth every penn of its $20 price.
, - Just_LeeExplorerWell I did the Live Chat yesterday and they helped me change a setting in the router and it works fine now. It will be interesting to see how it works out. I am using at my daughters house as a back up to her cell phone (which she forgets to charge).....
Thanks for the help... - 1492ModeratorYou can try contacting MagicJack at 561-594-9787, a number that is reportedly for non-billing related questions, but no guaranty you'll get through to tech support.

I don't believe MagicJack has or ever has had phone technical support. It's either by chat, or by various tech forums.
I am absolutely positive that I called and spoke to tech support when I got the original MJ about 2 years ago. It's possible that when I contacted support regarding the MJ+ that was by chat but I'm about 75% sure it was by phone.
I looked on their website today and see that they do not have a telephone number listed. - 1492ModeratorI don't believe MagicJack has or ever has had phone technical support. It's either by chat, or by various tech forums.

I had the original MJ which worked OK but then upgraded to the MJ+ which turned out to be mostly useless since it would drop the call giving no indication that anything was amiss. When I called for tech support the person was not interested in providing any assistance whatsoever.
You found a number to call? All I could find was Live Chat. Would you mind sharing the number?

I also use MagicJack Plus, and rely heavily on VoIP for home calls. Though I have two smartphones on the Verizon network, the signal quality at my house is typically 0-1 bars. This despite living just 15 minutes from the Washington Monument. So I basically use MagicJack and another VoIP PSN adapter for incoming/outgoing mobile based calls routed through Google Voice. No mobile minutes being used.
I got the Magic Jack Plus working here at my house with and without the computer.and it works GREAT. However I can not get it to work at my daughters without a computer... I am working on it... - 1492ModeratorI also use MagicJack Plus, and rely heavily on VoIP for home calls. - Just_LeeExplorerThanks so much for the responses. I installed the Magic Jack at my daughters. It seems to work fine she has high speed cable internet. We did it to save her some $$$$ and are happy we did...
Thanks again LeeB
