Honestly, I would have reacted the same way he did.
I would not think that Marcus was going to personally deal with it. Surely he has much bigger fish to fry. Like his network engineers.
I think we all know what it is like to be lied to by people at multiple levels of a company. (CW is not special in this regard.) You just stop believing anything anyone says until you see results. Then you thank the person who provides the results profusely, and go on with your life.
