I do wonder how these batteries compare size and weight wise, but it sure looks interesting, I like the lower internal resistance, this is good for those of us with multi-KW Inverters like my Prosine 2.0.
The Trojan T125 weighs 66 lbs and is 10.3"x7.11"x11.07" (LxWxH)
According to their catalog, the Silicon Salt 6v/220aHr weights 65 lbs and is 12.6"x6.93"x8.86"
Their 12v/100aHr weighs 68 lbs and is 13"x6.85"x8.7"
In my battery box I have room for 2 T125s and space for a slightly longer battery. It looks like I could fit 3 of the Silicon Salt batteries in the space I have but it would mean switching from 6v to 12v as the 6v batteries are paired up to produce 12v meaning I need an even number of them. - wa8yxmExplorer IIIGoodone mex

Still feel rundown and at far less than capacity.
- RoyBExplorer IIINow I am wondering if the SALT SILICON Battery I was looking at for $269 is what is being discussed here.... Reading on about it I see a smaller AH version of the 6V 220Ah version has been used for years associated with the motorcycle runs in the dessert.
Wish there was more info on it. It seems the real SALT SILICON batteries were designed for the very lard solar panel setups with batteries the size of equipment racks etc rated in the KHs...
Couldn't find anymore info on the 6V 220AHz version battery with the model number of YN2-220 Batt... They did have this photo of the battery which reminds me of motorcycle battery...
Roy Ken - RoyBExplorer IIII see the cost of a typical Silicon Salt Battery 6VDC 220Ah battery is around $270... Not bad if they work like you are saying... These are listed by BACKWOODS SOLAR online... Didn't look up any of the specifications as far as size or weight or connections.
Oops I didn't notice the link from the OP was to the same BACKWOODS SOLAR page...
