Microsoft Motivation

Question

I have been trying unsuccessfully for a week to renew my hotmail email account.   Not normally a conspiracy person, but could they be hoping that I will switch to one of their Windows Office applications?  I currently pay $19.95 for the premium hotmail account.  I have had it for over fifteen years, so really don't want to lose it.  I would switch to auto-renew, but don't get that, or any other, option.

What does the premium account get you? I've been a Hotmail user since it launched in 1996, and have never paid a dime for the service.

This may be relevant to your issue, looks like Premium is dead?

It has been so long, that I forgot all the details.  Mostly, that it will not be taken away due to lack of activity.  I have a four letter/number combination that I do not want to lose.

I have auto renewal and it renewed in February without a problem.
